New York in December — When the Lights Really Inspire…

From Saks Fifth’s Magical Light Show to the Dreamy Performance of the Radio City Rockettes and Everything in Between, The City is Full of Inspiration For The New Year

Mid-December is when most of us start planning for the year the ahead, but this time my list is filled with more dreams than anything. They say if you can make it here you can make it anywhere. Sure, New York is not for the faint-hearted, but it welcomes dreamers with open arms. I feel so lucky to be surrounded by people who have big dreams and goals and efforts. Hearing about their passions, witnessing their hard work, or even just meeting strangers on the streets… There is inspiration everywhere. New Yorkers shine so bright, the actual lights are just the cherry on top.

On a more serious note, below are some of my favorite magical moments:

  1. Ice Skating in Central Park & Bryant Park
  • 2) Christmas Spectacular Starring The Rockettes (Just Wow)
  • 3) Saks Fifth Avenue Light Show
  • 4) The Rockefeller Christmas Tree
  • 5) Winter Village at Bryant Park

These were the most remarkable parts of my month so far, but the free spirits of New York are what make all of these stand out. Yesterday, I was buying apples at the grocery store next to a customer in a Santa costume. The day before, I didn’t realize the delay on my train because the Subway concert was just that good.

The lights are magical, but so are the people, and their dreams. You never know who you will run into, what kind of a conversation you will have, or where you will end up and that is the best part of living here. There is so much going on in the city on any given day that the possibilities are endless. That’s why my list is full of dreams, because they can become real.

Until next time, Cheers to more memories in the city that never sleeps!

xx
